Vestry

The Vestry is the governing body of St. Peter's, much like a non-profit board of trustees. 
​It is in charge of all the real property of the parish, advises the Rector ​in administrative affairs,
and assists in the worship and spiritual care of the parish.

Wardens 2026

James Irwin, Senior Warden
Email Jim

Jim has been a member of St. Peter's since 1992. He coordinates meals for St. Paul's Shelter in Paterson, serves as an usher, and jumps in as a part-time repairman and landscaper. On the Vestry, he is the head of the grounds committee.

Barbara Gargiulo, Junior Warden
Email Barbara

Barbara has been a member of St. Peter's since she was a child in Sunday School. She was married and raised her three children here. She has worked as director of the nursery school and Christmas pageant, served on the Rector search committee, and helped with Street Fair and The OpShop. ​

Vestry 2025

Christine Albano
Christine attended Sunday School at St. Peter's as a child and eventually received Confirmation. Later in life, she returned with her young daughter and father, which became a very special tradition for them. She serves as a Sunday School teacher and volunteers for family events throughout the year.

Erika Grothues
​Erika has been a member of St. Peter's since 2013. She is the chair of the David St. George Outreach Endowment Committee and serves on the outreach committee of the Vestry.

Sarah Latson​
Sarah has been a member of St. Peter's since 2010. She helps with SPY fundraising and Street Fair, volunteers at The OpShop, and co-chairs Vacation Bible School. She serves as Vestry clerk and leads the communication committee.

Karen Mosher
Karen grew up at St. Peter’s and raised her three children here. She is currently a co-directress of the Altar Guild and a member of the Handbell Choir. ​
